During the 1940's the civilian population was mobilized as
part of the war effort during World War 2. This so called
"homefront" produced a huge array of memorabilia and collectibles
coveted by many collectors today. This site has been created to
serve primarily as a meeting place for homefront collectors. Just
as important however, it aims to educate people about the
homefront, and to foster interest and enthusiasm in the study and
collecting of this unique era in American history.
This site has been designed to be all encompassing with regard
to the study of homefront. Many relevant references and links have
been included. Didactics and editorials serve to provide pertinent
background to the impressive array of photo galleries. Finally the
self serve classified ads, guest book, bulletin board and events
board will permit interested parties to link up for commerce and
the exchange of information.
We are indeed glad you have located this site and always
welcome constructive comments to help improve it.
Thank you and enjoy. Frank Arian, MD (webmaster)
